The Hills Have Snow This Morning
“I look up to the mountains
-does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth!
He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber.
Indeed, he who watches over Israel
never slumbers or sleeps.
The Lord himself watches over you!
The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon at night.
The Lord keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever.
Psalm 121 NLT
The hills have snow on them this morning. Man it’s cold up here in Oregon (and it’s spring break!)
As I’m studying at the local McDonalds I did my morning devotions and took comfort that God is watching over us.
I had a great conversation with one of the managers here this morning. Her name is Penny, who has come through so much in her past. After years of struggling with addiction has cleaned herself up and began to make a life for her and her children. In our conversation she opened up about hurts in her life that she is dealing with. I thank God for conversations like that. I know in the midst of my own transition He brings people into my life who I can have God conversations with.
Hopefully during this short time here in Sweet Home I will be able to keep that conversation going. I know I will be praying for her.
“The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go both now and forever.”
