Weekend Wrap Up

Date: March 4
Attendance: A little above Average
Lesson Topic: Heroes: Ordinary People doing extraordinary things. This week was listening to that still small voice and having the courage to act on it. Our main text was out of Ez. 22.
Fun Factor: We didn’t do much in the area of fun. But the vibe was up and everyone enjoyed stuff.
Volunteer Involvement: Great. We have a great group of adults who are committed to loving on the kids. It’s an honor to serve with them.
Program: I think the topic and the D-Group material went well. The superhero drama was great but I need to get the scripts out early. We also had a “Arrested Development” style video following the drama talking about the next episode. It was pretty funny. After taking in the whole night, I think the flow and order was a little off. We had some computer glitches so the transitions were kind of slow.
Student Response: High. During worship, all of the students just crowded up to the front and it was cool. The students who show up on Sunday nights really want to be there. One D-Group wanted to step up and start serving but they didn’t know what to do. So this week they are committing to trying to figure out ideas of how they can make a difference in the community.
Personal Student Interaction: I got to encourage one of our up and comer singer students who will be stepping up this summer when the seniors graduate. I think she’s going to do a great job.
