Weekend Wrap Up

Date: April 22nd

Attendance: Average
Lesson Topic: Wii: Worship. Our Jr. High Pastor, Scott gave the talk for Wii: Worship. He did an excellent job catching the students’ attention.

Fun Factor: We had the Wii out with some old school games like Excitebike. It was also really fun playing outside with students during the connections time.

Volunteer Involvement: Ryan did a great job leading worship. Our volunteers are awesome and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

Program: The worship was great. So were the videos. I’ll be posting the worship one as soon as I can. I need to get more students involved in the upcoming weeks. I just need to say that Scott has guts! I can’t really say anything more than that for fear of being incriminated but Scott is one of those Jr. High pastors who pushes the envelope and he has guts!

Student Response: The real response will be if students show up at the Wii worship event this Wednesday at 6:30 in Overdrive. We’re planning a great time of worship experiences with the purpose of focusing on Jesus. It should be a good night.

Personal Student Interaction: Had a great meeting with the students heading to Nicaragua. I’m excited at what God has planned for this trip in June. Many of our students are also starting to feel the stress of the end of the year. Others are hurting pretty deeply due to family issues. I’m so glad there are adults willing to come along side them and be there for them. If it weren’t for the caring volunteer adults in this ministry, many students would be left alone with no one to turn to.
